Award Winning Professor
In 2008, Judy joined the faculty of Northwestern University where she teaches Consumer Insight and Media Strategy courses in the IMC degree programs at the Medill School. Judy was promoted to Assistant Professor to recognize her exemplary teaching and also her published work. Since joining the faculty, Judy has earned “IMC Teacher of the Year” honors and she has been named to the ASG Faculty Honor Roll multiple times. Judy is the author of “Media: From Chaos to Clarity.” Now in its second edition, this text is widely circulated in the marketing industry (featured in the Association of National Advertisers Library) and in university classrooms (most recently, NYU Stern School of Business).

Founder of The Marketing Democracy™
In 2008, Judy founded The Marketing Democracy: a consultancy where marketers, agencies and the media could come together to bridge the creative/media divide that existed in the marketing industry at the time. Since its launch, The Marketing Democracy has worked with several world-class brands: Anheuser Busch, LEGO, McDonald’s, MTV, Nickelodeon, Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, and Wrigley.
In 2021, Judy relaunched The Marketing Democracy to open its virtual doors to businesses of all sizes. In order to truly live the promise of a “marketing democracy” any business of any size (not just the big brands) deserves to know how to build their brand, find their brand story, and communicate that story in today’s digital world.
